Deaf-mute ‘Queen of the Philippines’ to be trained by Jonas Gaffud

Princess Alanis Pura, the hearing-impaired student who won the first Queen of the Philippines beauty pageant held last August 3 at the Subic Bay Yacht Club, will be trained by Mercator and Aces and Queens’ Jonas Gaffud.

In a Facebook post last August 6, Queen of the Philippines organizer Ovette Ricalde announced that Gaffud, the man behind Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup, Janine Tugonon and Ariella Arida will help prepare Pura for her international competition in November.

Pura will represent the country in the Face of Beauty International contest to be held in Taichung, Taiwan from October 29 to November 17. Other winners were Guillen Diaz (for Face of World contest) and Lyka Antonette Johnson (for Miss Yacht Model International). Runners-up were Janice Jane Flores and Michelle Alegre.
